Rather than relying on the bathroom scale to tell you if you're overweight, BMI takes into account your weight and height to indicate body fat. The goal for most people: a BMI that's over 18 and under 25.
Bariatric and Weight Loss Center

As the CSRA's only Center of Excellence, the Bariatric Program at Trinity Hospital of Augusta provides patients with the following services:

  • Weight loss support
  • Nutritional counseling
  • In depth information on different types of bariatric surgery such as the Lap-Band procedure
  • Guidance with the steps to take to get weight loss surgery and the qualifications for such procedures
  • Obesity Support Group

Trinity Hospital sponsors monthly Bariatric Surgery Information Sessions on the first and third Thursday of every month at 5:30pm. Please click one of the following dates for specific information:

In addition, Bariatric Support Group meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Sister Mary Louise Conference Room on the ground floor of Trinity Hospital.
